Neighborhood House Barbur Boulevard

Neighborhood House

This design / build renovation will transform an existing two-story office building constructed in 1973 into a new food pantry and senior center, operated by Neighborhood House. The interior will be reconfigured to fit the new program and improve accessibility. Updated finishes and lighting will incorporate trauma-informed design principles with a focus on both families and seniors. A new membrane roof and a new rooftop mechanical system will be installed to improve the building’s durability and sustainability performance. The existing parking lot will be reconfigured to add parking, accommodate pantry delivery vehicles, make space for the senior center transportation shuttles, improve onsite stormwater management, and create pedestrian paths throughout the site.
