CPAH - Oleson Woods
Since 1999, CHA has renovated or built 142 units of affordable housing for CPAH comprising three communities, each with unique characteristics. Oleson Woods is situated on a wetlands so our design incorporated views of natural areas, restored woodland area, provides serene walking paths and stopping places to sit and listen to the birds. A more developed area of the site provides a playground and hardscape court for kids to play. Village at Washington Square provides family housing near transit areas and close to shopping. Greenburg Oaks, the most densely populated property, serves a multi-cultural community. All three properties incorporate green building elements including whole-house ventilation systems, onsite rainwater filtration that allows stormwater to flow directly into an active stream, abundant natural lighting and highly efficient lighting fixtures, insulation exceeding code requirements, Energy Star appliances, fly-ash concrete and low-VOC adhesives and paint.
