New Hope Baptist Church

We began masterplanning the Seattle church grounds following the destruction of the existing sanctuary by fire in 1993. Interaction between the design team and parish members concluded the need for a larger sanctuary; a community center that incorporates administrative offices, a library and educational spaces; and an outdoor courtyard to join the buildings. To date, we have completed the new 17,000 sq. ft. sanctuary, which seats 850 and provides a main level and upper balcony pew arrangement with enhanced state-of-the-art audio and video system. Support spaces include a choir loft, baptismal font, trustees’ room, commercial kitchen and a community gathering room. The church has been actively fundraising to complete the next steps of the masterplan.
