housing

Developing community is about bringing people together, and yet economic hardship often leads to a sense of isolation from the community. Whether because of insecurity, dejection, or antagonism, people often retreat into their personal space. Both environmental design and building design can play a significant role in overcoming the tendency towards isolation by providing opportunity for safe, secure social encounters.
