This new development brings Bridge Meadows’ unique model of affordable intergenerational housing to Central Oregon. The project comprises 36 homes with a mix of one, two, three, and four bedroom apartments and townhomes to renters earning at or below 60%, 50%, and 30% AMI.

Bridge Meadows believes that it takes all ages to make a healthy community. In Bridge Meadows communities, elder residents live alongside young families and through programming and frequent activities, they build strong bonds with their neighbors. The active community counteracts isolation that elders might otherwise experience in traditional housing models, while children come to rely on elders as surrogate grandparents.

Carleton Hart Architecture’s continued work with Bridge Meadows focuses on how the design of the community environment encourages interaction between residents and gives them a sense of permanence.
