Sky Meadows was developed through a collaborative effort between Klamath Housing Authority and Luckenbill-Drayton & Associates in Southern Oregon. The project consists of scattered sites and has brought much-needed affordable housing to help revitalize three neighborhoods in Klamath Falls.
The primary site, Sky Meadows Apartments, includes 37 new one-, two-, and three-bedroom units targeted for households earning 40%, 50%, and 60% of the Area Median Income, along with community amenities such as a gathering space, play area, and community garden. While the surrounding neighborhood is primarily residential, the site itself sits adjacent to an open field with mountain views. The design draws inspiration from the early 20th-century bungalows prevalent in the area. The units are designed around a central courtyard with large porches that open onto the field.
In addition to the apartments, the project includes a triplex on a steeply sloped site near downtown Klamath Falls, featuring two three-bedroom units and one two-bedroom unit. Carleton Hart Architecture also designed a single-family home with three bedrooms, front and back patios, and custom built-in cabinetry.
