Construction is progressing at the Hill Park Apartments. We love to get out of the office and take a firsthand look at projects-in-construction whenever we get the chance. On March 2, a group of CHA-ers toured Hill Park Apartments. Built on a difficult site at a busy intersection near downtown Portland, Hill Park provides affordable studio and one bedroom apartments. The design utilizes staggered studs to maximize energy efficiency, solar panels to generate part of the building’s power on site, and remedies the previous petroleum contamination of the former gas station.
